About Jaffna
Jaffna sits at the northernmost tip of the island, closer culturally and geographically to South India than to Colombo — a distinct Tamil-Hindu region still visibly rebuilding since the civil war ended in 2009. It's the least visited of the destinations here, which is exactly its appeal: colourful kovils, a rebuilt Dutch fort, a legendary crab curry, and a city that welcomes visitors with genuine curiosity rather than a well-worn tourist script.

How to Reach Jaffna
The Colombo–Jaffna train (via Anuradhapura) takes 7–8 hours and is the most scenic option; by car via the A9 highway takes roughly the same. There are limited flight connections via Chennai.
